Hi Jon,
I just wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic, laid-back presentation that whizzed past the bullet points and got straight to the fun stuff. I've been a happy Firefox user since the days it was called Phoenix 0.5, but I never realized how incredibly extensible it was.
That .xul file that you loaded that was a full-blown application...well, it's just kind of funny to see that considering how hot a topic 'Ajax' is right now.
There were four other sessions at Desert Code Camp devoted to the Ajax thing, which is just a conglomeration of Javascript and XML (sound familiar?), all aiming to enrich the client-side experience; i.e., to make browser content act more like a desktop app.
And then you loaded that .xul file. I think you made more than one MS-kool-aid-drinker question his faith.
Once again, very cool stuff. By the by, I'm that blast from the past from Paraiso. Say hi sometime at burton {dot} johnson *at* gmail [dot] com (that'll fool 'em).

You are viewing JonRoig.com in lo-fidelity mode. I've got a fancier version of the site that requires javascript and while it works fine for me, other folks are reporting all kinds of random problems. if the content looks a little messed up, please forgive me -- this is still a work in progress...
